The All-Down Animal Welfare Promise
Animal protection is our top priority. Because whoever says A must also say B. That's why we only consider products and manufacturers who ensure that their down and feathers meet our animal welfare criteria.
The down and feathers must therefore come from an animal farm that values animal welfare, respect for the animal, animal protection and the best possible conditions for happy animals. As buyers of this down, we ensure this with our complete animal protection promise.
In accordance with the code of the European Down & Feather Association (EDFA), we and our suppliers undertake not to document any live plucking that is prohibited under European law or any down and feathers obtained through cruelty to animals in accordance with the EDFA certification requirements.
Certain down products are certified with the following seals:
Downpass certificate
The Downpass is a clear commitment by our company to ensuring animal welfare and the associated transparency of the zero-tolerance standard as well as transparency in the traceability of the components used.
Downright Down – RESPECTS ANIMAL WELFARE
Downright Down (DRD) is an award for down and feathers for which we use an in-house standard to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines to protect animal welfare throughout the entire supply chain (from the farm to processing).
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®
The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® was developed in the early 1990s in response to the need of consumers and the general public for textiles that are harmless to health. Until the introduction of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, there was neither a reliable product label for consumers to assess the human-ecological quality of textiles, nor was there a uniform safety standard for companies in the textile and clothing industry that would provide a practical assessment of possible harmful substances in textile products made possible.
